The Rhine Gorge - the Grand Canyon of Switzerland
back
10'000 years ago, more than 100'000 million cubic meters of rock thundered into the depths. Over many years, the Rhine has since found its way through the rock once more, and the imposing Rhine Gorge emerged. Exploring the 13 km long Rhine Gorge with sandstone rocks of up to 350 metres height is particularly fun. Whether from an observation deck, with the Rheinschlucht/Ruinaulta bus or from the open observation car of the adventure train from the beginning of July, always on Saturdays and Sundays.
