Andiast. Above the clouds.
The small mountain village Andiast in 1185 above sea level is located on a sun-drenched southern mountain side above the young Rhine. On the day of the winter solstice, it is in fact the village with the most hours of sunshine in Switzerland.
The wide and open view of the mountain panorama of the Signina mountain group, the Piz Mundaun and the ridge of Obersaxen on the other side of the valley adds the crown to the mountain village.
In winter, the mountain village Andiast is the ideal starting point for sunny walks and winter hikes. Attractive snowshoe trails in direction of Alp Miez or Pigniu/Panix invite you to extensive snowshoe tours.
The valley station Waltensburg/Darums of the mountain railways Brigels Waltensburg Andiast, or the snow sports school, are only a 3-minute drive away from Andiast. With a valid season, week or day pass from the mountain railways Brigels Waltensburg Andiast or the Surselva ski pass, you benefit from the free travel with the ski bus.
